Laurie is proud to have built on her years of journalism experience as a Segment Producer at the Emmy-winning TV show Teen Kids News, and combining it with having studied directing at Yale University. This has allowed her to become an award-winning writer and engaging speaker on meaningful topics.
Awards that mean a great deal to her are for articles she wrote about Self-Compassion and healing the Mother/Adult Daughter relationship. Laurie's been helping people by speaking on both topics since 2018. (Check out the Events tab for upcoming talks!)
As the co-founder of the international, award-winning, website: Motherrr.com (tagline "Healing Relationships one Mother/Daughter at a Time!") she's spent over 10 years studying the dynamics of relationships including one’s relationship with oneself.
During that time she, and co-founder Barb Wilkov, have appeared on the news, radio and TV talk shows, taught workshops and received numerous awards. They are grateful for all accolades, one that especially tickles them is receiving the STAR 99 .9 Best Website of the Week award!
Laurie is delighted to have been part of the team when Teen Kids News won the Emmy Award! The founder and Co-Executive Producer, Al Primo, is a TV legend and in the Broadcast Hall of Fame. She's proudest of her series on how education can lead to interesting careers but the series with the most fun photos (below) are for America's Got Talent Red Carpet and movie premiere interviews.
Note: Most fun and down to earth interview? Daryl Hall of Hall & Oats!
